MPV
Maruti Ertiga
The all-rounder MPV for families and ghat roads.
- Seats
- 6
- Luggage
- 3–4 bags
Best for Families of five or six — room for the luggage too
On the road
The Ertiga is a seven-seat MPV that we book for up to six passengers plus the driver, which leaves the third row for people and the boot for bags. For a family of five or six it is the usual sensible size: enough room that nobody is sitting on a suitcase, without paying for a larger vehicle than the party needs.
It is lighter than the Innova, which suits winding hill and ghat sections, and the seating is upright and easy to get in and out of for older relatives. On a full six-person overnight run the back row has the least legroom, so for a long haul with a full load the Innova is the more comfortable seat.
Tell us the number of people and bags when you ask for a quote and we will confirm the Ertiga is the right fit — or point you to the Dzire or Innova if it is not.
Great on these roads
Hyderabad → Srisailam
215 km · 4.5 hrs
About 215 km including the Nallamala ghat section — the Ertiga's lighter build suits the bends, and six seats keep a family together.
Hyderabad → Tirupati
560 km · 9 hrs
A long run of around 560 km where boot space for pilgrimage luggage and a third row for the family both matter.
Hyderabad → Nizamabad
175 km · 3–3.5 hrs
About 175 km on a highway run that suits a family of five or six with luggage for a weekend.
Choosing between this and the Toyota Innova?
Choose the Innova if you are seven, or if the drive is long and a roomier cabin matters more than a lighter build. For up to six people on a typical highway or ghat run, the Ertiga is enough.

Can I get a Maruti Ertiga on rent in Hyderabad or Vijayawada?
Yes. Maruti Ertiga rental runs from every city we cover — Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Tirupati, Warangal, Guntur, Araku Valley, Kurnool, Rajahmundry — and the car reaches your address rather than you coming to a counter. Outstation drops beyond those cities are normal too; the fare is quoted for the whole trip either way. Tell us the pickup city and date on WhatsApp and we'll confirm the car is free.
Can I book a Maruti Ertiga for an outstation trip or an airport run?
Both. The same car and driver cover airport transfers, local hire by the day, temple trips and multi-day outstation drives — the fare is quoted per day either way, so a single airport run and a four-day road trip are priced on the same basis.
